Jameson Short Shift Ft. Sab & Newsha 

Sab is one of our favourite bartenders, hailing from renowned Sydney venue Frankie’s Pizza by the slice and her partner Newsha is a well-known creative. We caught up with the couple to get the low down on how they have been keeping busy recently and challenged Sab to create her signature Jamo cocktail ‘The Vegan Power Whiskey Sour’ which you can now try for yourself at Frankies!

One of the main reasons the couple decided to make us the Vegan Power whiskey sour is because all ingredients can be either found at home or you don't have to go too for to get them. That's been a theme of isolation for Sab and Newsha. Instead of asking themselves where can they buy what's needed they started to ask, how can we make the thing we need?

“As creatives, the very first thing you want to do is fill time and that’s what we did. We were woodworking, painting and baking but we learned as well that it was just as important to recharge. ”


Sab also mentioned that this applied alot to the hospitality industry. Bartenders are workaholics who are constantly surrounded by a cyclone of energy at work. The lesson she has learned during the isolation period is not to be afraid to unplug and relax because it's only going to make you better at what you do in the long run.
