Your Itinerary

Day 1 - Cork

Monday, June 25th

Touch down in Cork airport and we'll take you directly to your hotel in Midleton.

Once you're settled and have had a chance to freshen up buses will take you to the hub of our activity in Cork, the Midleton Distillery. Here we'll give you your official welcome to Ireland and the home of Jameson.

Welcome Home Barrelmen

This evening we'll kick off the trip in style, on the site where Jameson is produced in Midleton, Co. Cork. Here you’ll meet up with your fellow bartenders from all over the world. This year over 29 countries will be represented; from Brazil to Canada and Spain to Korea – a truly global gathering of bartenders! You’ll enjoy a banquet style dinner, accompanied by plenty of entertainment, and a few Jameson drinks of course.

Dress code: We recommend smart casual but you can interpret this however you see fit! Bring a light jacket, just in case (it is Ireland after all).

Day 2 - Cork

Tuesday, June 26th

Today is a jam-packed day and will require some stamina!

You will visit the Jameson Distillery, Midleton where you will learn all there is to know about Jameson whiskey production. Then you will get to kick back and enjoy the fruits of our labour in some great drinks, with entertainment on the side of course. You’ll also get the chance to cheer on your fellow bartenders in action in the global Mixmaster Challenge. Will your country take home the prize?

Whiskey Heaven

Today we will first take you back to the Midleton Distillery, a truly beautiful place where some of the buildings date right back to 1795.

Just next door is our New Distillery where you’ll get behind the scenes access to the Garden Still House and even a maturation warehouse, as well as meet some of the most important people behind the production of our beloved Jameson Irish Whiskey. You will attend our state of the art Irish Whiskey Academy, where you will learn everything you need to know about how Jameson is made. Today you will experience first-hand what makes our whiskey unique; our people, our product, our place.

Dress code: Casual, waterproof jacket, flat comfortable shoes.

Barrelmen's Fest

After a quick trip back to the hotel to freshen up and get your glad-rags on, we’ll take you back to (you guessed it) the Jameson Distillery Midleton.

Tonight you’ll be able to let your hair down - Jameson style. Aside from some class entertainment, we’ll have lots of interesting things for you to see and do.

While you’re at the hotel, the global Mixmaster Challenge will be kicking off back at the distillery. Each country will be represented by one Mixmaster who will prepare his or her drink for a panel of expert judges in a closed space, then everyone will come together for the live final later in the night. We know you’re a patriotic bunch, so feel free to dress accordingly and cheer on your local Mixmaster in style! We’ll end the night in a Cork City venue where you can party the night away. For anyone who is fading fast…don’t worry, there will be regular shuttle buses back to the hotels.

Dress code: Get patriotic! Failing that, smart casual is recommended. Bring a light jacket, just in case.

Day 3 - Dublin

Wednesday, June 27th

For your last day in Ireland, we will whisk you off to Dublin, AKA “the Big Smoke”, our capital city and the original home of Jameson.

In Cork you saw everything about how Jameson is made, now in Dublin we’ll bring you back to our roots where you will understand more about our whiskey’s unique history and heritage, and even meet some interesting Dubliners along the way!

The Heart and Home of Jameson

On arrival in Dublin you’ll go straight to the inner city area of Smithfield, where John Jameson established his distillery back in 1780.

After a visit to The Jameson Distillery Bow Street you will be invited to choose how you would like to best spend the rest of the afternoon; taking some time out to meditate, do yoga or discover the streets of Dublin. An option that could bring you some surprises…

Why not end your few days in Dublin in style!?
