Where are you working? What’s your bar like?
I'm working at Madame Bar (Limassol, Cyprus). My bar is the best bar in Cyprus for me - we have the best owners, Very good team, perfect customers. Lovely place.

Tell me about your experience:
I'm from Greece and I had a cocktail bar in Amaliada (a city on Zakynthos island), before I had cocktail events with friends and we toured all over Greece for parties.. now I am living in Cyprus and I’m very happy for this.

Why did you decide to become a bartender?
I’ve been in the bar business for the last 17 years in all posts.. runner, helper waiter, waiter, barback, bartender, owner... I like to make people happy through my work, the most interesting things in life I’ve learned through the bar... it is amazing... I love it.

Do you have a mentor in the Industry, an inspiration, or someone you would like to thank?
I would like to thank my bosses and all the Pernod Ricard family, tempo , Jameson for this experience... and for the help they offer me daily at my job.

Tell me about the inspiration behind the cocktail you created for Jameson Barrelmen’s Homecoming?
My cocktail, Aphrodite’s garden, is based on ancient Greek mythology and the best whiskey in the world JAMESON!!! Aphrodite, according to the Greek mythology, was born in Cyprus and is the Goddess of beauty and love… what characterised her was her beauty and the array of rich, sweet-smelling scents that surrounded her. Her Baths are located in Paphos and are surrounded by several herbs and trees. To be more specific, the Baths are surrounded by the garden of Aphrodite… so I have decided to carefully handpick some of them and their scents and pass them to my cocktail. I wanted to combine history and the Jameson project Farm to glass.

Where did you find the ingredients?
The Jameson - I found it in my bar :), the other ingredients I collected from the Aphrodite’s baths and I made syrup and juice in my bar..

Are there any producers you would like to highlight?
Only my video and photo producer :)

If I visit your city, what should I see/eat/drink?
Sun, sun and sun! Cyprus is a sunny island with beautiful beaches. We have 7-8 months of summer. In Cyprus you will find warm hospitality from the people. We have nice bars, beach bars and restaurants.

What is your best JBH 2019 memory?
The whole trip is the best memory. I remember everything. Everything was wonderful - The competition is fantastic, activities and the master classes as well. Nightlife, the concert with Hozier, the distillery and the best parties... all was amazing. My funniest moment was when my suitcase broke and we were carrying it from Dublin to Cork... I was helped by my team and from other countries.

What is the next city you would like to visit?
I would like to visit Galway!!!
