CELEBRATE WORLD WHISKEY DAY WITH IRISH SPIRIT
World Whisk(e)y Day lands on May 18th this year. Time to clear your diary and start stocking the drinks cabinet, here are some ways to make it YOUR Whiskey Day.
But first, a drop of history. Blair Bowman is to thank for its creation, though we’ll have to forgive him (over a drink perhaps) for forgetting the ‘e’ in Whiskey. He created the day back in 2012 to inspire more people to try whiskey, however they enjoy it.
While there’s no record of any World Whiskey Day back when John Jameson created his whiskey in 1780, we feel he’d definitely take part in this whiskeycelebration. Take a look at the chart below to see where our journey has taken us so far. Hopefully, we’ll be marking the occasion for a few more generations to come.
Now for the celebrating part. We’ve put together some ways you can mark our second favourite day of the year (St. Patrick’s Day is hard to top);
RELEASE YOUR INNER-BARTENDER
While you might have tried Jameson served neat, on the rocks or in a Jameson, Ginger & Lime, you probably haven’t made too many cocktails with Irish spirit. Well, this is your chance to twist and shake it like the best of them with our Jameson Cocktail Kit.
EXPLORE OUR WHISKEY FAMILY
Toast your way through World Whiskey Day with some of our better kept-secrets. From Jameson Black Barrel, twice charred for a rich smooth taste, to Jameson Crested, the first whiskey ever bottled in Bow St. Distillery.
VISIT THE HOME OF IRISH WHISKEY
We can’t think of a better way to spend World Whiskey Day than in the heart and home of Irish Whiskey, Jameson Bow St. Distillery. Especially now that it’s officially the World’s Best Distillery Tour Experience. We know where we’ll be spending the day anyway.
