Foolproof Brewing Company
Meet Our Rhode Island Brewery Partner
For the first time ever, Jameson Caskmates Irish Whiskey and Foolproof Brewing Company are collaborating to bring a barrel-aged beer to Rhode Island's neighborhoods and to the Great American Beer Festival® this October. Using whiskey barrels shipped all the way from the Jameson distillery in Midleton, Ireland, Foolproof Brewing Company has created two limited edition brews you won’t want to miss.
"Obviously, the prestige and recognitiion of partnering with a brand like Jameson has been a huge boon for Foolproof, but honestly, the biggest pleasure has been working with the Jameson and broader Pernod Ricard teams. You can see their passion and dedication to the Caskmates program and how committed they are to partnering with craft breweries who share their values. We've really enjoyed working together."
Raincloud Robust Porter
"Raincloud is the perfect 'stay at home' brew. Dark, smooth, mysterious—this rich and flavorful porter is brewed with chocolate and crystal malts and a subtle blend of European hops. Raincloud is the ideal accompaniment for a lazy day of movie watching or reading."
The Grotto IPA
"We all have a Grotto—a hidden wonderland where we retreat in selfish self-discovery to reflect and bask in life’s simpler pleasures. Here’s a beer for that private indulgent experience. The Grotto IPA boasts juicy flavors and aromas straight out of a tropical paradise—fruity American hops complement a smooth, light body."
Try these beers at the Great American Beer Festival® this October.
"We had made a small batch Irish red ale for our taproom a few years back and it was a big hit. We hadn't had an opportunity to make it on a larger scale and it immediately came to mind when we heard we were going to be able to age a beer in Jameson barrels."
"Pawtucket, Rhode Island, is where America’s industrial revolution started and is also home to the Pawtucket Red Sox. Family Guy is also based here. We’ve been brewing in Pawtucket since we opened in December 2012. There’s a lot of grit and personality here. There's a really cool emerging arts and industrial scene, and craft beer has been a big part of that. Since 2012, Foolproof has seen four breweries open its door for business. In a state that only takes 45 minutes to drive through, I view all of Rhode Island as my neighborhood. That means the fun of the beaches and beach bars in South County, the woods and hidden pubs up North, and the great variety around Providence. Just a few minutes drive from Foolproof can get me to fine dining, hip cocktail bars, great music venues, and the diviest of dive bars."
