We're very proud of our whiskey, which fits right in with the attitude of neighbours. As you can imagine, local pride isn't in short supply in a county that refers to itself as the "real capital of Ireland." That pride isn't misplaced though. Bordered to the south by a rugged coastline, lush farmland and postcard worthy river valleys make Cork a real showstopper. If beautiful views aren't your thing, Cork City is a bustling cultural centre that is bursting at the seams with character.
Some highlights of the region include Fota Wildlife Park, Cork City Gaol, Titanic Trail and Spike Island Jail. Needless to say we reckon that the whiskey tasting is hard to beat.
Foodies are well catered for with the Farmgate Restaurant right on our doorstep in Midleton and the nearby Ballymaloe Restaurant and Cookery School.
The Fota Island Resort and Castlemartyr Resort are highly recommended if you’re looking to spend a luxurious night in East Cork.
If you’re looking for something a little closer, the Midleton Park Hotel is a 5 minute walk from the distillery and even has a Jameson Suite for guests.
