What is it?

This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to experience a deconstructed whiskey tasting like never before. You will learn about the history and production of Jameson Black Barrel, a premium whiskey that is triple distilled, twice charred and matured in bourbon and sherry casks.

You will taste different components of the whiskey and how they pair with food, created by Lee Tiernan, the former head chef at St John Bread and Wine and the owner of Black Axe Mangal. For each of the three steps, Lee will create a suite of flavours to match every component of the whiskey.

Nose

Time spent maturing in these barrels leads to intensified aromas of butterscotch, fudge and creamy toffee.

Taste

Nutty notes are in abundance alongside the smooth sweetness of spice and vanilla.

Finish

Enjoy the richness and intensity of toasted wood and vanilla.

When, where and how can I register?

The event will be held on 25th June at 7 pm at Black Axe Mangal on 156 Canonbury Road, Upper Holloway N1 2UP3.
There are only 14 spaces available for this exclusive event, so hurry up and register your interest now. The price is £100 per person, which includes dinner, whiskey tasting, two cocktails and limited edition gifts. The booking can only be done by two people at a time.
