Leftover Roast Beef and Stilton Sarnies
Who says leftovers can’t be tasty? With whiskey onion marmalade and a hint of mustard generously lathered across a fresh slice of French baguette, roast beef has never tasted so good.
Ingredients:
- 3 slices of leftover beef joint (pre-cooked), pink in the middle if possible
- Whiskey onion marmalade
- Stilton
- 1 French baguette
- Teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons mayo (preferably Hellmans)
- Rocket
Recipe Steps:
- You will need a bit of leftover roast beef. If you do not have this you must go and roast a joint of beef and wait until the day after. It also helps if you’ve watched the burger video so that you have whiskey onion marmalade – an important component of this sandwich.
- Get a good bit of baguette and slice it down the middle. Toast it in the oven for a bit if you want! Cut your beef into thin-ish slivers. In a bowl – mix your mayo and your mustard.
- Spread a layer of mustard mayo over your baguette then add some whiskey onion marmalade. Top with beef slices, then crumbled stilton (as much as you like) and a bit of rocket for greenery. Dig in.
