Smokey Harissa Hummus
Sharing is caring, especially when it comes to our Smokey Harissa Hummus. On a night-in with friends, serve up this chickpea mix with a side of something crunchy. Citrusy notes and the kick of spice will make your tastebuds tango.
Ingredients:
- Tin of chickpeas
- 1 Lemon
- 1 clove garlic
- 3 teaspoons harissa
- 4 tablespoons tahini
- 100ml Olive Oil
- Salt & Pepper
- Parsley (to garnish)
- Smoked Paprika (to garnish)
- Pine Nuts (optional)
Recipe Steps:
- Get a blender/food processor out and add your chickpeas, tahini, garlic clove, salt, harissa and the juice of half a lemon. Blitz until smooth ish.
- Drizzle olive oil into the hummus as it blends to emulsify and create a silky dip. If it isn’t smooth enough, add a splash of water and blitz more. If you want it chunkier, blitz less!
- Serve up in a bowl with some pitta chips or tortilla chips or whatever chips you want. Top with a pinch of smoked paprika, some toasted pine nuts if you fancy being fancy, a drizzle of olive oil and a sprig of parsley.
