JAMESON X VERSUS
Jameson x VERSUS Bibs Collection
Fusing together the world of football, contemporary fashion and whiskey, Jameson Irish Whiskey has launched two limited edition 5-a-side bibs, created in partnership with sports and lifestyle platform, VERSUS. The bibs pay homage to the grass-roots game and set out to celebrate the power of football in bringing people together – encouraging a bit of post-match craic too, of course!
Designed just in time for summer, the limited-edition bib drop offers 5-a-side football fanatics and whiskey enthusiasts alike the chance to level up from the traditional (and less desired) bibs found at five-a-side venues; finally giving the game the respect it deserves.
Drawing inspiration from Jameson’s Irish roots and the traditional hi-vis aesthetics of football bibs, the two vests drop in ‘Emerald’ and ‘Lightning’ green colourways. Both models feature sublimated ‘V’ patterns to symbolise the VERSUS brand, while the iconic Jameson logo adorns the front in the style of football’s traditional shirt sponsors. The reverse of the bibs are blessed with a motif of ‘Everyone’s a Baller’, in recognition of Jameson and VERSUS’s desire to make football a more diverse and inclusive space.
The bibs will be available for use at select Powerleague locations across the UK from the start of June as part of Jameson’s ongoing sponsorship of the biggest small-side pitch supplier in the country – we wouldn’t be surprised if players wanted to take them home too.
Some of British football culture’s most influential personalities – Premier League legend Jermain Defoe to Charlton Athletic player Freda Ayisi, semi-pro baller and international DJ, Monki, and much-loved content creator Moses Duckrell – came together to front the new release and symbolise the extent to which football brings people together in so many ways.
The Jameson x VERSUS partnership comes off the back of Jameson’s ongoing drive within the football space, having partnered with Lovers FC to create five limited edition jerseys, as well as its ‘Home Fixtures’ campaign with Micah Richards, and sponsorship of five-a-side pitch provider, Powerleague.
