    ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW

    JAMESON BLACK BARREL

A tribute to the cooper’s method of charring barrels. Charring is an age-old method for invigorating barrels, but these days we use double charred barrels by choice rather than through necessity.

Matured in a combination of American oak, sherry casks and double charred bourbon barrels, Jameson Black Barrel is a blend of ‘small batch’ grain and traditional Irish Pot Still whiskeys.

Time spent maturing in these barrels lends this whiskey intensified notes of vanilla sweetness and caramel, alongside toasted wood, fruit, and warm spice.

    The Whiskey

A complex blend of whiskeys, with some noteworthy component parts:

    • A unique small batch grain whiskey, distilled only one week per year.
    • Blended with a higher proportion of Irish Pot Still whiskey, adding a robust creamy finish.
    • Matured in a combination of American oak, Spanish Sherry Cask and Double Charred Bourbon barrels.

    TASTING NOTES

    NOSE

Butterscotch & creamy, toffee fudge aroma.

    TASTE

Nutty notes with spice & vanilla sweetness.

    FINISH

Rich & intense toasted wood and vanilla

    AWARDS

    RECENT
    NOTEWORTHY ACCOLADES

Black Barrel is the trade up whiskey, for elevated drinks moments… but ‘showing off’ or ‘being exclusive’ have never really been our style. The drinks and the setting may be super premium, but the moment is still about real authentic connections.

Black Barrel takes the occasion One Step Further… allowing you to trade up, without changing who you are. Super Premium, but still without the pretense.

And of course, there’s the Taste, we went One Step Further to create.
Another level of smoothness, delivered in every bottle, in every sip, and in every cocktail.

But don’t take our word for it.
Over the past year, Jameson Black Barrel has received almost 20 awards, some of which we’ve included below.
