Mac Black

January 2018

Denmark’s George Booth, bartender at Lo-Jo’s Social in Copenhagen.

George is a man with a mission. If those visiting Copenhagen can’t come for a cocktail, well by George, he’ll bring cocktails to them. On his days off, he leads cycling tours around the city, complete with cocktails on the front of the bikes - perfect for taking in the sights in style. His cocktail for December is the Mac Black, and is a tribute to his first pup, named, not surprisingly, Mac.

Known for its innovative cocktail and food pairings, Lo-Jo’s Social is the downtown bar that foregoes the standard Scandi minimalist monochrome style for something more unexpected - strong primary colours, summery wall prints and beachy vibes. The aesthetic is owed to the Danish-Australian owners, and the focus is on creating stand out cocktails to complement the much loved food menu.
