ml Boiling Water
50 ml Jameson Original
1 Wedge Lemon
20 ml Spiced Tea Syrup
Part Boiling Water
1⅔ Parts Jameson Original
1 Wedge Lemon
⅔ Part Spiced Tea Syrup
How to make
- Add 50ml Jameson Original, 20ml spiced tea syrup and 80ml piping hot water to a stainless steel jug.
- Steam under a wand until boiling point is reached. If you don’t have a wand, steaming hot water works here.
- Pour into a heated glass or mug before squeezing the lemon into the drink.
- Drop the lemon wedge into the glass and serve.
- To make a Spiced Tea Syrup: Add 1 x Kg Caster sugar, 600ml water, 5 Irish tea bags, 5 x cloves, 3 x cinnamon sticks, 3 x star Anais, 2 x cracked nutmeg, tsp of all spice to a saucepan and bring to a simmer for at least 20 mins; Leave the contents to sit covered overnight before straining through a fine strainer; Keep all spices in a piece of cheese cloth or a coffee filter while making the syrup. This pouch of spice can be dried out and re-used for up to another 2 batches.
