Catch Me!

Mixing it up this month

with Mattia Cilia, bartender at SCJAMPAGNE, Sicily, Italy.

Meet the Godfather of Sicilian bartenders. After a stint with the movers and shakers in London Matti is back in the South of Sicily making the most of everything the island has to offer up. Fortunately for us, he loves showing the world what he and his beautiful country can create.

The Cocktail

You could say Matti’s surroundings have found their way into his creations. When we asked him about his cocktail he said, “My drink is the discovery of ancient civilizations and contemporary cultures”. It’s certainly a mix we haven’t come across before. That said, we think you’ll enjoy being transported to his Italian island with every sip.

The Bartender

Matti has a zest for life, and that’s not just because Sicily is known for its lemons (and as it turns out one of the main ingredients in his drink). When he’s not flying the flag for his trade, he’s probably just flying. Matti has a pilot’s license. Something tells us this cocktail might just take off.
