Stout Edition Irish Coffee

Ingredients

  • 60 ml Cold Brew Coffee
  • 15 ml Cream
  • 45 ml Jameson Stout Edition
  • Grated Nutmeg
  • 15 ml Vanilla Syrup
  • 2 Parts Cold Brew Coffee
  • ½ Part Cream
  • 1½ Parts Jameson Stout Edition
  • Grated Nutmeg
  • ½ Part Vanilla Syrup
Step-by-step

How to make

  1. Add boiling water to your Irish coffee glass to pre-heat it.
  2. Discard the water.
  3. Add the Jameson, vanilla syrup and coffee into the glass and stir gently.
  4. Top with lightly whipped cream and garnish with a little grated nutmeg.
  5. To Make Vanilla Syrup: Add 250g white sugar, 250ml water and a vanilla pod to a saucepan. Carefully slice the vanilla pod lengthways first to release the flavour. (A teaspoon/5ml of vanilla extract will also work.) Heat on a medium low heat until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and allow to sit for an hour. Strain out the vanilla pod, bottle and refrigerate.
